Private Pilot Licence (PPL)

Entry requirements

You do not need to have completed Advanced Level Mathematics to begin pilot training.

  • Be at least 16 years old at the point of enrolment
  • Have completed G.C.E. Ordinary Level examinations
  • Have sound written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Complete the applicable medical and security clearances before flight training

Frequently asked questions

A PPL is intended for private and leisure flying and cannot be used for commercial remuneration. A CPL is the professional licence pathway for those seeking employment as pilots.

Students who meet the entry requirements may join an integrated Commercial Pilot Licence pathway without first completing a separate PPL programme.

Yes. Full-time programmes are available, while executive or part-time arrangements may be organised according to availability.
